Easter looms
and that means school holidays
I don't really celebrate easter except for maybe an easter egg hunt or more strategically placed chocolate. Friday night we're having a dinner for good old friend couple and their 3 gorgeous kids. Seafood paella! Not in any way religious but if the tradition is fish on good friday let's take it to another level.

If there's any room on the table have a centrepiece, even if it's small. Flowers are great of course but my usually abundant garden is deathly dry these days. No need to get the style bibles out, just something fun and quirky like the rabbits above. If you or the kids do painted, dyed, tattoed or patterned eggs put a few in eggcups.
My family are not going away this easter because we're saving $ and holiday leave for a big 4 week holiday later in the year. Also my parents arrive to celebrate Louis' birthday mid April every year and stay for about a month to catch up with family. Always a good time of year with lots of family get togethers over good food.
