Mothers Day
Since then have realized it fits me like beautiful kid leather gloves and feeds me like the sun nourishes. No I couldn't have the many more I wanted but, thankfully, I am a mother.
Something to celebrate not just for the first Sunday in May.
Happy Mothers Day
My beautiful partner and father of our son, Rick, bought me this donkey[?] made out of gorgeous space kids fabric. " I don't want presents, just let me rule the day"! I tell them.
Coffee and toast in bed from Louis who's gift was a written promise to regularly do homework[not signed I noted] and a drawing 'is still coming'. Went with my father and [step]mother to trash and treasure for a quick visit [for their sake] on route to morning soccer game-yay Louis' team [Essendon Royals] won.
Forgot to have lunch. Spent afternoon sorting Ricks' last years' tax for Monday appt.
Then put on some music[David Bowie Live at Santa Monica '64] got in the zone, and prepared dinner. Salad of spinach leaves, persian fetta, avocado, olives, beetroot, parsley, basil, mint, balsamic, lemon juice and fried shallot. Grilled marinated quails with lots of lemon squeezed over. After- Good vanilla ice cream with crumbled meringue, passionfruit pulp and macerated strawberries mixed through. So easy so yum. There's a store bought pavlova icecream thats similar but not as good.
Jose`[dad] and Sheron have been staying with us for 3 weeks and we have all enjoyed them being here very much. As this was their last night- it was a bit sad. Monday morning they went back home to Port Maquairie. Sheron is also a wonderful Nana to Louis.
Yes I am an amateur in the cake making dept. but that's not going to stop me. This is supposed to be a suitcase~bon voyage. Louis helped finish it off. He is starting to show an interest. Fun to make and I think it was appreciated by Kerry, Ruben and Nina who went to China for 2 weeks.
